1st International WSAF Competition Worldwide Sport Aikido Federation Competition - London August 18th - 20th, 2017.

The 1st WSAF international competition is to be held from August 18 (Friday) to 20th (Sunday) at the East London University Sports Dock, London.
Shodokan Aikido Federation (SAF) is Japan’s representative organization in the Worldwide Sports Aikido Federation who will host this tournament. SAF is also a founding member of WSAF.

The following is an outline of the event’s schedule.

1. Dates: 8/18 (Friday) – 8/20 (Sunday)
8/17 (Thursday) competition registration, a referee seminar and a welcome party will be held from 17:00.
8/18 (Friday) Youth and the general competition qualifying
8/19 (Sat) Youth finals, general qualifying, youth awards ceremony
8/20 (Sun) Senior finals and award ceremony

2. Venue.
The University of East London ‘Sports Dock.’

3. Rules:
※ The competition will be run the same as other Aikido competitions.
※ Eligibility is 18 years of age and older. Level requirement is 2nd kyu and higher. There are also events for younger competitors.
※ Demonstration competition (embu). It will be possible for competitors to enter two events.

– Kata competitions randori no kata (Junana hon no kata).
– Kata competition randori basic tanto Junana hon no kata.
– Kata competition Goshin no kata.

② Application deadline and payment
Competition entry forms and payment must be made to WSAF by July 7 (Friday), Please notify Shodokan Honbu office of your intent to compete and in which events by May 31, 2017 (Wed.)
Concerning payment; we will inform competitors of the amount in Japanese yen.
The transfer destination is as follows.
