July,6th, 2025 Referee Seminar and Shodohai competition.
Yesterday, a referee seminar and the Shodo Cup were held at the Shodokan Honbu dojo.
Participants came from Tokyo to participate in the men’s Shodo Cup randori competition and attend the morning’s referee seminar. The referee seminar helped those who are keen to learn the intricacies of judging randori bouts. The randori events were a valuable experience in competing against different members.
There was also a women’s randori tournament, and congratulations go to Mabuchi Kyoko, who won the championship. It was a spectacular victory.
We all had a fantastic day of competition, despite the extremely hot weather. After practice, we all shared stories and cooled down with cold beers.
