3rd Shodokan Kyoto Demonstration Event
Kyoto City Budo Center – Old Butokuden
October 12, 2026 (Monday, National Holiday)
Open to working adults aged 20 and older; all ranks (kyu/dan) welcome.
If you don’t have a partner, feel free to find someone!
Let’s fully enjoy performing in the historic Old Butokuden!
Participants may switch partners freely during demonstrations; each demonstration is approximately 40 seconds.
There will be no randori (free sparring), and no kakari-geiko* (continuous attack practice) permitted.
No advance registration required; please show up on the day.
Participation fee: 500 yen
Meeting time: 13:00
(Please change clothes beforehand: men in the dojo, women in the gymnasium changing rooms.)
Schedule:
13:00 – Everyone works together to lay down the tatami mats (approx. 30 min).
13:30 – Individual warm-ups.
13:45 – Individual demonstration practice.
14:00 – Demonstration Events begin.
14:45 – 15-minute break.
15:00 – Second round of demonstration practice.
15:15 – Second round of demonstrations begins.
16:00 – Event concludes; everyone helps with cleanup.
