Shodokan Honbu Dojo, Summer Vacation (Obon) – August 10th (Mon) – August 16th (Sun)
From Monday, August 10th, 2026, until August 16th, 2026, Shodokan Honbu dojo in Showacho, Abeno, Osaka, will be closed for Obon – the annual summer vacation. Regular practices will resume on Monday, August 17th, 2026.

The 23rd Summer Kansai Youth Aikido Competition – Sunday, August 9th, 2026.
Venue: Sumiyoshi Budokan Starting Time: 9:00 am. Competitors are asked to arrive early to check in. Referees and other competition staff are requested to arrive extra early to prepare for the day’s event.

University Student and Adult Examinations – June 28th at Honbu Dojo from 13:00
Examinations for seniors/adults and university students will be held at Shodokan Honbu dojo on June 28th from 13:00. Those wishing to test are asked to submit applications to the Honbu dojo office at least one week before examination day. Those being tested are asked to arrive early at the dojo on examination day.
